Preview SW has been worked since the 1930s, but the bulk of the work was done in the late 1980s when 89 drill-holes totaling 14,119 m were drilled by Cameco in order to calculate a gold resource. In 2012, La Ronge Gold completed two drilling campaigns in 2013 an NI 43-101 Resource Calculation on the deposit. 83% of the Preview SW claims remain untested.
The Preview SW claims are within the Mineral Disposition Zone of the Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. Mineral exploration and development is permitted within this zone. An all-weather highway provides access to within 10 km of the claims from the nearby town of La Ronge, and a seasonal bush road provides access to the deposit from the highway.

Effective Date : August 31, 2013; Assumptions used in the pit optimization include US$1,300/oz Au, 90% Au recovery, $2.50/tonne mining cost, $2.00/tonne waste mining cost, $15.50/tonne process and G&A cost. No allowances have been made for mining losses and dilution. A pit slope angle of 45° was used. Mineral Resources that are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. The claims are within the Mineral Disposition Zone of the Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. Mineral exploration and development is permitted within this zone.
